James Newbury: James Newbury is world-class athlete and entrepreneur. James’ extensive experience as a 4X Crossfit Games Athlete,  former semi professional rugby player for the Queensland and Sydney Rugby Leagues, and life-long fitness enthusiast have brought him here to lead a plant-based revolution in the field of health and performance… as the founder of Phyba! 

 

Brooke Turner: I’m Brooke, I’m a Mum of three, ocean goer, sun seeker, adventure enthusiast and lover of ALL things health, fitness and the great outdoors!

 

Professionally I am an international health & fitness educator, speaker and writer, having presented at fitness events across Australia, Asia and New Zealand & written for AUS leading health & fitness publications. I am a tertiary qualified nutritionist & exercise scientist, specialising in exercise and nutrition for pregnancy and motherhood and helping women find a balanced approach to healthy, active living for long term mental AND physical wellbeing.

 

I have over 14 years experience in the health & fitness industry, have trained hundreds of women through their pregnancies (single, twin & quad!), and motherhood journeys & have educated hundreds of exercise professionals across 13 countries in my internationally recognised course Functional Fitness for Pregnancy & Postpartum!

 

I am on a mission to educate and empower women, athletes and exercise professionals working with women, everywhere, on safe, effective and enjoyable exercise for pregnancy and motherhood.

 

I know that postpartum is forever & that ALL Mums matter, regardless of how long you’ve been in the ‘hood for.

 

I believe in striving for a balanced approach to healthy, active living – for long term PHYSICAL and MENTAL well-being and results. This means eating and moving in a way that is fun, enjoyable and sustainable - because exercise shouldn’t be used as punishment or seen as a chore and food isn’t good, bad or forbidden, but to be enjoyed in moderation.
